Update on fiberglass tunnel flanges
Tonight I tried out the fit of the test parts on the fuselage. They came out right on the money! I guess it shouldn't be a surprise since the plug was built on the fuselage. Still, it's nice to see them actually fit.
I trimmed them up a bit and then chopped up the aluminum panels from the last attempt to piece it all together. I installed just enough screws to hold everything in place. The final installation will need to use a few more screws to keep things from flopping around. In the picture, the tunnel floor (center) is aluminum. The final part will be made out of stainless steel. I will make new side panels as well. These have a few extra holes and have been banged up a bit from messing with the last attempt.
